Savannah Porter is a board certified Physician Assistant and a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Healthy Children Project. She is a Colorado native from Canon City who completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado-Boulder and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in Child Health at the University of Colorado-Denver. She has completed additional training to better understand and help underserved communities, while also being a proud beneficiary of the Colorado Rural Health Professions Scholarship and the Rural Essential Access Provider Grant.
She was drawn to pediatric medicine from the start of her career and has been transformed, personally and professionally, through the “teachings” of her own children, Arlo and Sawyer. She is passionate about patient-centered and patient-directed care in collaboration with families, while experiencing each child's' unique personality and strengths. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys international traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, eating and gardening.
