Amanda Singh is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She comes to PPSW after having worked at a Baltimore pediatric practice and served on faculty at the John’s Hopkin’s University School of Nursing. She also has spent many years working in the Pediatric Emergency department, and at a domestic violence shelter for women and children. Amanda earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Utah Valley University and in nursing from the John’s Hopkins School of Nursing. She received her Master's and Pediatric Nurse Practioner degree from the John’s Hopkins School of Nursing. In 2022, Amanda completed additional training and certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Amanda serves as the PPSW School Based Health Director and primarily sees patients at Durango High School. Amanda is involved in state policy efforts for School Based Health Centers as a Board Member of the Youth Alliance, a CO School-Based Health Center advocacy and policy organization.
Medical missions and medical volunteering have afforded Amanda the valuable experience of traveling extensively throughout Africa and Haiti. She is passionate when it comes to caring for under served and underprivileged populations both internationally and at home. Amanda fully believes in educating her patients, whom she refers to as her “friends”, in order to empower and improve people’s health. Amanda and her husband, and their 2 red heelers are thrilled to be part the Durango community, and look forward to seeing you on the four corners' trails.
